Coordinator of Mission Advancement
Summary
Neighbor to Neighbor, Inc. (N2N), a nonprofit organization working with refugees, asylum seekers, and other immigrant populations in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a half-time coordinator of mission advancement to expand the organization’s reach and ability to serve immigrant populations in the greater South Bend region. Salary commensurate with education and experience (with a minimum starting salary of $20,000). The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Director of N2N.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead efforts for grant prospecting, writing, and reporting and maintain grant calendar
- Maintain donor/supporter database (currently using Little Green Light) and track and respond to donations
- Plan and execute special events, including collaborations with community partners, donor appreciation/stewardship opportunities, and annual fundraisers
- Develop and execute online giving campaigns and direct mail appeals
- Cultivate major donors to build a major gifts program, including securing one-on-one meetings with individuals and potential corporate sponsors
- Participate in N2N’s communication efforts, such as press releases and other public relations communications, and assist in the development and implementation of systems to increase N2N’s positive visibility
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to N2N’s thoughtful and sustainable growth by assisting in the design and implementation of systems that increase the effectiveness and efficacy of our mission
- Participate in managing attendance and program evaluation records and coordinate the use of data analysis for learning, improvement, and storytelling
- Assist with general duties as arise in conversations with executive director and staff
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- Proficiency in English-language speaking and writing
- Commitment to N2N’s mission
- Residence in (or willingness to relocate to) the South Bend area
- Proficiency in (or ability to learn) Google Suite
- Training or experience in fundraising, grant writing, or advancement
- Experience with immigration or nonprofit work (preferred)
